Ron Miller, the former president and CEO of Disney and the son-in-law of legendary Walt Disney has died at the age of 85.
His father-in-law Walt, who died on December 15, 1966, had founded The Walt Disney Company that led to the creation of Touchstone Pictures, the Disney Channel, Disney movie classics and the Epcot theme park.

The Walt Disney Family Museum confirmed Miller's death. He passed away on Saturday, February 9, in Napa, California.

Miller was the president of the board of directors at The Walt Disney Family Museum which was founded by his late wife, Diane, who was Walt Disney's oldest daughter, in 2009.
Miller was the president of Disney from 1978 to 1983 and then it's CEO from 1983 to 19 84. He made more daring and mature films from the studio.
Miller is survived by his seven children, Christopher, Joanna, Tamara Diane, Walter Elias, Ronald, Jennifer and Patrick; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Donations is reported to be made in the name of Miller to the memorial fund that the Walt Disney Family Museum has established in order to support ongoing education efforts.
