Paying Tributes! Prince Charles, Barack Obama and wife Michelle Obama, Donald Trump and wife Melania Trump and more attended the funeral service of George H.W. Bush at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, December 5.
As we previously reported, the 41st U.S. President died on Friday, November 30, at around 10 p.m., nearly 8 months after the death of his wife Barbara Bush. He was 94.
Jim McGrath, a spokesman for the former president, had confirmed his death, with sharing a statement on Twitter.
He wrote at the time, "George Herbert Walker Bush, World War II naval aviator, Texas oil pioneer, and 41st president of the United States of America, died on November 30, 2018."
He was 94 and is survived by his five children and their spouses, 17 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two siblings. He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Barbara; his second child Pauline Robinson ‘Robin’ Bush; and his brothers Prescott and William or ‘Bucky’ Bush. Funeral arrangements will be announced as soon as is practical.
George Bush Senior is survived by five children, including former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and the 43rd President George W. Bush. A sixth child of the couple had died in early childhood.
Bush is also survived by his 14 grandchildren.
George H.W. laid to rest in College Station, Texas, on Thursday, December 6.
