A California mother, namely Tierra Ortega, 24, was arrested in the death of her little daughter and for injuring her son after dropping him down from the building's 2nd-floor, authorities have confirmed.
According to the San Bernardino County district attorney's office, the 24-year-old is charged with child abuse causing death and attempted murder.
The suspect is set to appear in court later Thursday, February 28, and it's not been known if she has an attorney.

Police said a neighbor saw the woman dropping her one and a half years old son from a second-floor before she jumped.
She suffered facial injuries while the boy was rushed to a nearby hospital with minor injuries and a broken foot.
Her daughter, meanwhile, was not breathing when police officers discovered her inside the apartment in the Upland city, east of Los Angles. The baby girl died at the hospital.
