Early life and Education
Lyudmila Putina was born to the parents of Alexander Abramovich Shkrebnev and Catherine Tikhonovna Shkrebneva on January 6, 1958, in Kaliningrad, Soviet Union. Her father worked at Kaliningrad Mechanical Plant. Lyudmila Putina was educated as a linguist.
She did her graduation from the branch of Spanish language and philology from the Department of Philology of Leningrad State University in 1986. She worked as a flight attendant before she rose to fame.
Lyudmila holds an American nationality and belongs to white ethnicity.
Moving to her personal life she is the ex-wife of the President and former Prime Minister of Russia, Vladimir Putin. They were married on July 28, 1983, in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
She and her husband Vladimir Putin had two children together, Maria, born in 1985 and Yekaterina (Katja) in born 1986.
On 6 June 2013, the couple publicly announced that their marriage was over. The divorce announcement was made on camera for Russian news media at the Kremlin Palace, ending years of speculation about their relationship.
And their divorce case was finalized on 1 April 2014. In January 2016 she was reported to have married a businessman named, Artur Ocheretny. But there is no confirmation of the union as marriage certificates are not public in Russia.
