GIRLS creator Lena Dunham and her musician boyfriend Jack Antonoff are no longer together. The couple started dating in December 2012 and were last seen together in February 2017 at a Grammy's pre-party.
As per several sources like E! News, US Weekly and People, the couple ended their relationship in a mutual understanding and has started living separately since last month. A source near to the couple reported:
Jack and Lena were growing apart and it just made sense for them to end their relationship where it was. They want the best for each other no matter what. They are both moving on.
Lena, with $12 million net worth, had shared a photo of a couple in October for the last time. She posted a photo of her hugging Antonoff and captioned: " Since I dyed my hair blue he sings a song about how I am a troll looking for some trolls snacks and troll friends and he’s not wrong."
Lena also wrote an article about her love life with Bleachers frontman later that same month which was published in Variety. They met each other through a blind date for the first time back in 2012.
The Lenny Letter writer Lena revealed via Twitter some weeks back that she had expected Antonoff would propose her in November 2017. She said:
I thought jack was furtively planning a proposal to me with his sister. And he just admitted I actually caught him ‘talking shit’ about me! Now I literally can’t sleep cuz I’m laughing too hard and I am also keeping him awake. 5.5 years, no rock and you know what? It’s real nice.
The couple had also discussed about their wedding previously. Lena openly revealed that she would marry Antanoff after same-sex marriage is legalized in the USA.
