The British actress, 45, took to Instagram on Wednesday, January 9, and shared an old picture of her mother, actress Judy Loe, captioning it,
It was great that my mother covered wearing hot pants really well and rocking a fashion owl so that I could chill for my awkward teenage years and just enjoy having the teeth of an adult horse, waiting only a couple of decades for my head to grow to accommodate them.
An Instagram user commented on the post, "Dear heavens, Kate. Not Pete Davidson" - referring to her relationship with the Saturday Night Live star, 25.
The Much Ado About Nothing actress then cheekily replied, "no that’s my mother. Easy mistake."

This cheeky comment comes days after Kate and the Big Time Adolescence actor sparked dating rumors. They were spotted flirting at a Golden Globes afterparty on Sunday, January 6.
An insider exclusively told Us Weekly at the time, "She was following him around a bit and waiting for him. People approached her and she didn’t want to talk to anyone else."
The source added that Pete "stepped aside to take pictures with fans" while hanging out with Kate and explained, "It definitely seemed like Kate was interested in him".
Kate and Pete's drama comes nearly one month after the comic actor was caught on a dinner date with a mysterious woman in New York City.
