A native of Leimen, Germany, Boris Franz Becker was born on 22nd of November 1967. He is the only son of Karl-Heinz, an architect and Elvira Becker. Boris raised in a Catholic family. During Boris' childhood, he learned tennis in Lemin, which was founded by his father.

Boris began his tennis career at the age of eight. He trained by Romanian-coach, Gunther Bosch. In 1984, he won the first doubles title in Munich, at the time his manager was Ion Tiriac. He then earned the "Tennis World Young Master" at the NEC in Birmingham and "first top-level" singles titles at Queen’s Club.

Boris became the first unseeded German Player to win the Wimbledon singles title by defeating Kevin Curren. Throughout his career, he has garnered his career with several prestigious awards and trophy. He is five year-end championship winning player along with 13 Masters Series titles and an Olympic gold medal in doubles.

After his retirement, Becker became the owner of tennis division of Volki Inc and commentator for the BBC at Wimbledon. He also worked on the advisory board of the German club, Bayern Munchi as well as working as Novak Djokovic’s coach.

The tennis legend Becker is a married man and living a blissful life with his wife Sharley “Lilly” Kerssenberg, a Dutch model. The couple together has a son, Amadeus Benedict Edley Luis Becker.
