Boo the Pomeranian, the World's Cutest Dog, Dies at 12 From Heart Issues

Boo the Pomeranian, who was named the World's cutest dog, has died at the age of 12. He was an Internet sensation with more than 16 million followers on his own official Facebook page.

The Pomeranian’s owner, Irene Ahn, took to Boo's Facebook page on Friday, January 18, to announce his death.

Alongside a series of photos of Boo and his friend Buddy, the owner wrote, "With deepest sadness I wanted to share that Boo passed away in his sleep early this morning".

As for the cause of death, Boo, was the most beloved animals on the social media platform, passed away after suffering from heart issues, according to the Facebook statement shared by his owner.

According to Daily Mail, Boo started experiencing heart problems shortly after the death of his fellow canine friend, Buddy, who died on September 6, 2017.

Boo's Facebook followers include multiple celebrities such as singer Liam Payne, news anchor Anderson Cooper and One Direction fame and fashion designer Tory Burch.

A book on Boo's life, titled 'Boo: The Life of the World’s Cutest Dog' was released in 2011.
