The crime rate in the United States has increased aggressively in the United States and so is the situation all over the world. A body of a woman was found boxed in a suitcase in February, which examiners have concluded to have died of suffocation.

The medical department has revealed on Monday that the lady, 24 years old Valerie Reyes, died of homicidal asphyxia. She was reportedly the resident of New Rochelle, New York. However, the officials could not identify if Valerie Reyes died of suffocation in the suitcase.

If reports are to be believed, the dead body was found on Feb. 5 this year by Greenwich town employees, six days after she was reported missing by her family.

While the exact conformation about the convict behind the murder has not been made, her ex-boyfriend Javier Da Silva Rojas from New York City has been held on a federal charge for kidnapping that ended up in her death.

Upon finding guilty, Javier may face the death penalty. As of now, the attorney of the Javier has not made any comment but following his arrest, he mentioned that Reyes died after she fell and hit her head.
