Dick began his professional career as a TV comedian as the cast member of the sketch comedy program, The Ben Stiller Show, which opened on the Fox Network from September 1992 to January 1993.
In 1993, Dick played the role of "Donnie the CBS Page Who Likes to Suck Up" on David Letterman's new CBS show.
Later in 2001, Andy and his college friends and producers launched a show on MTV, The Andy Dick Show. This show didn't run for a long time and stopped its run in 2003, after three seasons. Following this, in 2004, Dick appeared in a satirical reality television show on MTV, The Assistant.
Apart from this, Andy has appeared in several movies that include, Reality Bites, Double Dragon, Inspector Gadget, Road Trip, Special Delivery, and Zoolander2.
Besides, Andy has also been involved in some legal issues and has been arrested a few times. Andy was jailed about 4 a.m. at a bar in Huntington, West Virginia, on charges of sexual abuse after he reportedly groped a barkeeper and a patron. He was released from the jail after pleading not guilty and paying $60,000 for bail.
Recently in October 2017, the 51-year-old actor and comedian Andy was again accused of "groping people’s genitals, unwanted kissing/licking and sexual propositions of more than four members of the production." However, he denied all these allegations.
Following the claims of sexual harassment and assault on set, Andy was fired from his role in the movie Raising Buchanan.
Talking about his personal life, Andy is an American by nationality and belongs to white ethnicity. Andy was in an affair with Ivone Kowalczyk for a long time. He married her in 1996. The husband and the wife together have a son, Lucas. But they couldn't continue their married life and ended their relationship in 1990. Further, Dick has two more children, a son, and a daughter from his wife, Lena Sved.
