Actor Johnny Depp recently filed a lawsuit of $50 million against ex-wife Amber Heard for discrediting him in the op-ed section that she wrote in December for the Washington Post.
Although she did not take real names in the post, Amber Heard wrote about her previous experiences with domestic violence.
The lawsuit filed by Johnny Depp states that Amber,
“is not a victim of domestic abuse, she is a perpetrator.”
It also denies accusation if any against Depp, for abusing Heard and further mentions that the actresses' claims were all part of a hoax to generate positive publicity for herself.

In the op-ed, Amber Heard had written
“I became a public figure representing domestic abuse, and I felt the full force of our culture’s wrath for women who speak out,”
Lawyers from the ex-husband's side have claimed that
“The op-ed depended on the central premise that Ms. Heard was a domestic abuse victim and that Mr. Depp perpetrated domestic violence against her,”
Heard's attorney stated that this is Johnny Depp's another publicity stunt to silence Amber Heard.
The couple had filed for a divorce in 2016 after Amber claimed that Depp was violent in their relationship.
Johnny Depp has a history of filing suits against his previous manager as well as his attorney.
