On 20th of March 1993, Allison got married to her long-term boyfriend Dr. Lee Dennis. Dr. Lee Dennis is a radiologist. Allison completed her high school graduation from some high school in Pine City, Minnesota. After her high school, she joined Gustavus Adolphus College. In the mid 1990s, she was named an anchor of the early evening news. In May 1997, she was promoted as the co-anchor of NBC 5’s 10 p.m. newscast. From 1999, she began hosting the show Wednesday's Child and she hosted this show till 2005.
