Ahmad Rashad got married first time with Deidre Waters in 1969. They have one daughter, Keva, born in 1970 and son, Sean, together. They got separated and later on March 22, 1976, he married Matilda Johnson. They have two children together; daughter Maiyisha (born 1976) and son Ahmad Jr. (born 1978). They divorced in year 1979. It was year 1985 when Rashad married for third time with actress Phylicia Ayers-Allen. They also have one daughter named Condola Phylea Rashid. They called off their sixteen years long relationship in 2001. He again wedded for the fourth time in November 19, 2007 with Sale Johnson and divorced in 2013.
In November 1970, Rashad was found guilty and charged with felony theft. It occurred when he was attending his junior year in college. He played as wide receiver and to running back when he was All American in 1971. He was induced in College Football Hall of Fame on May 9, 2007. He is also a fourth player selected in 1972 National Football League draft.
