An Oregon man, namely Ivory J. Watkins Jr., 43, was arrested last week for stabbing his ex-girlfriend's boyfriend, Noor Ahmed, during a fight in Southeast Portland.
The 43-year-old remained held on Wednesday, March 20, on suspicion of second-degree assault against the victim.
The suspect allegedly stabbed Noor in his chin, neck, stomach and back with a knife. According to a probable cause affidavit, the knife had a six-inch blade.
Noor wasn't killed and was rushed to a nearby hospital. As per an Oregonian report, he is expected to survive. According to the court documents obtained, the men fought again when Noor was stabbed.
Ivory and Noor reportedly first fought at a gas station, and the girlfriend, whose identity has not been disclosed, broke up the fight. The current couple drove away ending the fight but Ivory followed them and caught up.
Police said they found blood inside the suspect's blue SUV car. The girlfriend initially gave the wrong name of the suspect but she later identified Ivory as the attacker.
