Openly Gay Couple, Nate Berkus and Husband Jeremiah Brent Welcome Baby No. 2, a Son Via Surrogate

The newly born has two fathers! An openly gay couple, Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent, have welcomed their second child, a baby boy via surrogate on Monday, March 26.

The Nate & Jeremiah By Design stars, who already are parents to a 3-year-old daughter, Poppy Brent-Berkus, took to Twitter on Wednesday, March 28, to announce the birth of the latest addition.

The post features a sweet black & white photo of the newborn’s tiny foot and the caption reads,

It is with so much love that we welcome Oskar Brent-Berkus to our family. We have waited for you, we already love you, and we as a family stand on the shoulders of so many people who have made it possible for families like ours to continue to grow.- Nate, @JeremiahBrent and Poppy

Through the post, they also revealed the name of the couple's baby no. 2, Oskar Brent-Berkus.

Jeremiah, meanwhile, shared the same pic on Instagram, captioning,

Yesterday, life cracked open in a way I didn’t think it could again with the birth of our son Oskar Brent-Berkus. Love multiplied. How can love continue to expand like this. Hand in hand our family is basking in the phenomenon of it all. We love you little Oskar. How thankful we are. How beautiful it all is.

As previously reported, in February, Nate and Jeremiah announced that they were expecting their second child, sharing a video clip in which Poppy was seen yelling, “We’re having a baby brother!”

The interior designers, who appear in their own hit TLC series, started dating in early 2012 before they became engaged in April 2013.

After a year of their engagement, the couple got married in May 2014 at the New York Public Library. They welcomed Poppy via surrogate in March 2015.
