Oklahoma Police Shot and Killed an Unarmed Naked Teen Boy

Oklahoma police confirmed to media on Wednesday, May 1, a 17-year-old high school student they shot on was naked and not armed.

They broke into the home of the teen and fatally shot him on Monday, April 29.

The student has been identified as Isaiah Mark Lewis, according to the Oklahoma state medical examiner’s office. Police initially reported that he was an adult.

Officers started a search operation for the teen after a woman made a call to 911 and reported a domestic disturbance for her neighbor.

A spokeswoman for the Edmond police, Jenny Wagnon, said Isaiah was shot while fighting with two officers.

The officers first used a stun gun on the boy but ii failed to subdue him. Then at least one officer fired a handgun on him.

The teen was rushed to a hospital with a head injury. He died at the hospital.

The officers involved have been identified as Sgt. Milo Box, who served the department for 17 years, and Denton Scherman, who was hired in September.

As per the report, none of the officers were wearing a body camera during the shooting.
