Nikolai Volkoff, WWE Hall of Fame star who played a Soviet villain in the wrestling ring, had died at age 70. The organization has confirmed that wrestling star passed away on Sunday, July 30.
The cause of his death has yet to be revealed, however, Nikolai's wife Lynn said that her husband has had heart problems, adding that when she went to give him the medicine he was not responsive.

Volkoff had joined the WWF (now turned WWE) in the '80s, in the midst of the Cold War. He was considered a most popular wrestling villain, who often tried to lead the crowds to stand and sing along to the Soviet National Anthem.
Most famously, Nikolai faced off wrestling stars like Hulk Hogan. He also teamed up with another villain, the Iron Sheik.
76-year-old Sheik also took to Twitter on Sunday, July 29 to pay tribute to the late wrestler.
He wrote, MY BEST FRIEND. MY PARTNER. MY BROTHER. WE GET MORE HEAT THAN ANYONE ON EARTH. I TRUST HIM WITH MY LIFE. HE TAKE CARE OF ME WHEN I WAS DOWN. I MISS YOU FOREVER"
