Nev Schulman has denied the sexual misconduct allegations made against him by a woman who starred on Catfish: The TV Show after the MTV network announced that they have suspended production on the series.

In a statement to US Weekly on Thursday, May 17, the 33-year-old producer said,

The behavior described in this video did not happen and I’m fortunate that there are a number of former colleagues who were present during this time period who are willing to speak up with the truth. I have always been transparent about my life and would always take responsibility for my actions — but these claims are false.

Schulman is referring to a Youtube video posted by a woman named Ayissha Morgan who appeared on the MTV series season 4 in 2015.

Ayissha accused the Catfish host and executive producer using fake names, and people believe she was referring to Schulman as “Jack” and “the main guy on the show.”

She alleged,

I have this guy over here making me three times as a uncomfortable as I already am … He just kept asking me, ‘Are you a lesbian or are you bisexual?’ I was like, ‘I’m a lesbian for the 50th f—king time,’

She further added that “Jack” said he didn't believe she was a lesbian and asked to “take her out,” repeatedly calling her pretty in addition to asking about her hotel accommodations.

In order to continue the production of the series, Ayissha traveled to Houston with “Jack” and “John”. She claimed that at the airport “Jack” said to her,

‘I don’t think you’re a lesbian … I don’t think you met the right guy yet, do you think I’m attractive?’ … ‘I have a big d—k, I would tear your ass up.’

She added, “He was just like pushing and pushing.”

After arriving in Houston, Ayissha agreed to hang out with “Jack” as he repeatedly was joking about them sharing the same hotel room. He allegedly asked her if she wanted to “cuddle.”

Of "Jack", she said, "It got to the point where it so excessive that it was annoying,"

On Thursday, May 17, that MTV announced that they have launched an investigation into the allegations.

The statement reads,

We take these allegations very seriously. We’re working with Critical Content, our third party production company, to conduct a thorough investigation and we’ve put a pause on shooting until the investigation is completed.

Schulman is a married man. He has been tied the knot with wife Laura Perlongo since 22 July 2017. The couple shares a daughter, Cleo James, together, who was born on October 21, 2016.
