Ned Zelic was born on 4th July 1971, in Sydney, Australia to his parents. He grew up alongside his brothers Ivan Zelic and Lucy Zelic. He holds an Australian nationality.


Junior Career

An Australian former footballer Ned Zelic started his football career with Canberra FC. He played for the club till 1987, and after that, he joined the club A/S.


Senior Career

In 1981, Zelic started his career in football with the club Sydney Croatia. During his professional life, Zelic played for more than 13 clubs, where he faced 372 matches and scored 16 goals.


His National Career

Till 1997, an Australian former professional footballer, Ned Zelic played for National team Australia. During his career in the national team, he made 58 matches and scored 9 goals. 


Ned Zelic started playing football from the Old Australian National Soccer League, where he played alongside Sydney Olympic and Sydney Croatia. However, he spent most of the years of 1990s playing in Europe.

He joined the famous club Borussia Dortmund and played for three years. During that time, he reached the UEFA Cup Final in his very first season and also won the German Bundesliga title in 1995.
