Nate Ruess was born on February 26, 1982, in Iowa City, Iowa, United.  He is the son of  Larry Ruess and Bess Zinger. Nate Ruess grew up on a farm in Arizona with his elder sister, Elizabeth. His birth name is Nathaniel Joseph "Nate" Ruess. 

2014

Affair with Charlotte Ronson

Nate Ruess began to date  Charlotte Ronson in the year 2014. The couple seems to be very happy to each other and appeared in many public places holding their hands. Charlotte  Ronson is an English fashion designer, currently based in New York City.

Graduation from Deer Valley High School

In 2008, Ruess joined forces with Andrew Dost and Jack Antonoff to start the band "Fun".   It is an American indie pop band based in New York City.  It was formed by Nate Ruess, former lead singer of The Format, with Andrew Dost of Anathallo and Jack Antonoff of Steel Train.

His band " Fun"  is best known for three hit singles from Some Nights: Grammy Award-winning "We Are Young", which reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and Digital Songs charts. It also peaked at number one in the United Kingdom. "Some Nights", and "Carry On".

2013

His band "Fun" won Grammy Award

  In 2013, his band "Fun" won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist and the Grammy Award for Song of the Year for "We Are Young".  Fun was a nominee for four other Grammy Awards: Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo or Group Performance (both for "We Are Young") along with Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.

 

2016

Released a music video Take It Back

In 2016, he released a music video for his song "Take It Back" starring actor Patrick Fischler who is known for Once Upon A Time, Mad Men and LOST  and also features a guitar solo from Jeff Tweedy of the band Wilco.
