Natalia Fileva, One of Russia's Richest Women, Killed in a Plane Crash in Germany

Natalia Fileva, one of Russia's richest woman, was killed in a plane crash in Germany on Sunday, March 31.

Natalia Fileva, 55, was aboard a single-engine, six-seat Epic-LT aircraft. According to investigators and the airline operator, S7 Group, the plane crashed in a field on approach to an airport in Egelsbach, Germany.

Natalia was a co-owner of an airline operator. According to business publication, she had an estimated net worth of $600 million.

German police told local media that there were three people aboard the aircraft, including the pilot of the flight. They said positive identification of the occupants will be announced after further investigation.

German aviation investigators have been trying to find out the cause of the crash.

Two more people were reported to be dead in a collision after which a police vehicle responded to the scene.

Citing police reports, the dpa news agency wrote that three people in the police vehicle were critically injured in the traffic crash while the two more in the other car passed away.

The S7 Group shared has released a statement to pay tribute to the late airline co-owner. The statement reads,

S7 Group team extends sincere and heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Fileva's family and loved ones. The memory of her as an inspiring and sympathetic leader and a wonderful person will forever stay in the hearts of all S7 Group employees. It is an irreparable loss.
