Grace and her family are longtime members of Macon Liberty United Methodist Church, where her mother Elizabeth played the organ and Mac Sr. was once a Sunday School teacher.

Grace graduated from Macon’s  Windsor Academy and further joined Valdosta State University and later received a B.A from Mercer University. Grace received her Juris Doctor from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer, where she was a member of the law review. Further, she went on to earn a Master of Laws in constitutional and criminal law from New York University.

Grace worked as a clerk for a federal court judge and practiced antitrust and consumer protection law with the Federal Trade Commission. She also worked nearly for 10 years in the Atlanta-Fulton country, Georgia District Attorney’s office as Special Prosecutor which was focused on felony case involving serial murder, serial rape, serial child molestation, and serial arson.

After leaving the prosecutor’s office, Grace started to do a legal commentary show alongside Johnnie Cochran. Further, she started hosting a regular primetime legal analysis show named Nancy Grace on CNN Headline News. Television host and journalist Nancy has appeared in a number of shows such as; Dancing With the Stars, Raising Hope, Law & Order, Hancock, and The Wire.

Nancy Grace in her television career has been caught in many controversies for her strong point of view on some heavily disliked matters.
