Mother Who Went to Coma After Horrific Car Crash Wakes Up After 27 Years

A woman, namely Munira Abdulla, from the United Arab Emirates woke up from coma last June 27 years after she went into the deep prolonged unconsciousness following a tragic car crash in 1991.

As per the report, the mother woke up from the come calling the name of her son.

According to a BBC report, Munira was 32 years old when she and her son Omar Webair, who was 4 years old at the time, collided with a bus in their car after picking the little boy up from school.

Omar was not injured much his mother had shielded him. However, the woman suffered a severe brain injury due to which sent went into a coma and she was into it for nearly three decades.

Of his mom, Omar, now, 32, told The National,

I never gave up on her because I always had a feeling that one day she will wake up. All those years, the doctors told me she was a hopeless case and that there was no point of the treatment I was seeking for her, but whenever in doubt I put myself in her place and did whatever I could to improve her condition.

The National reported that doctors said they never thought Munira would ever open her eyes again.

Munira had no awareness of her surroundings. She was tube-fed and underwent physiotherapy to prevent muscle atrophy.

She has lived at many different hospitals over the years and ended up at a facility in Germany.
