Morgan Woodward, 'Cool Hand Luke' Actor, Dies At Age 93

Morgan Woodward, the actor who portrayed menacing mirrored-glasses boss, 'The Man with No Eyes', in Cool Hand Luke, has died at the age of 93.

The Fielder House Museum in Arlington, Texas, confirmed his death to The Hollywood Reporter, saying that he died on Friday, February 22, at his home in California.

Morgan guest-appeared in a record 19 episodes of Gunsmoke, 80 episodes of The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp and 12 episodes of Wagon Train.

His television credits included Bonanza, The Lucy ShowThe Waltons, Hill Street Blues, Logan's Run and Star Trek.

Additionally, Morgan played supporting roles in The Great Locomotive Chase (1956), The Gun Hawk (1963), Gunpoint (1966) and Firecreek (1968).

His other appearances included John Cassavetes' The Killing of a Chinese Bookie, Jack Starrett's A Small Town in Texas and Final Chapter: Walking Tall.

He also starred in Which Way is Up? and romantic comedy film Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (1985).

A memorial service is set for the late actor which will be announced in the coming days. Rest In Peace Morgan Woodward.
