Mitzi Hoag, 'The Facts of Life' and 'Here Come the Brides' Actress, Dies at Age 86

Mitzi Hoag, the actress best known for her recurring roles on television series like The Facts of Life and Here Come the Brides, died on Tuesday, February 26 at her Sherman Oaks home. She was 86.

Her death was confirmed by her family announced. The actress played a mother of three kids and a wife of a lawyer husband (portrayed by Paul Sorvino) on We'll Get By, an Alan Alda short-lived comedy. The show lasted just 13 episodes in 1975.

She came to know Michael Landon while starring as a guest on Bonanza. She appeared on subsequent NBC shows produced by Michael. The shows included Little House on the Prairie, Father Murphy and Highway to Heaven.

Her other credits included Tammy and the Doctor (1963), The Trip (1967) and James Forsyth's Heloise.

Mitzi is survived by her husband Jonathan, who she was married for 47 years; their daughter, Abbie; and grandsons Joseph Sanger and James Sanger.

Donations in her memory is set to made to Tree People or the Sierra Club. Rest In Peace Mitzi Hoag!
