Miss North Carolina Cheslie Kryst Wins Miss USA 2019

Miss North Carolina, Cheslie Kryst, won Miss USA title during the 2019 pageant in Reno, Nevada, on Thursday, May 2. She defeated 50 of her competitors to win the top prize.

Miss New Mexico Alejandra Gonzalez was the runner-up while Miss Oklahoma Triana Browne was listed on top three.

Miss USA 2018 Sarah Rose Summers returned to hand over her crown on to the Miss North Carolina.

The event was hosted by Nick Vanessa and Vanessa Lachey and T-Pain opened the show with his hits Getcha Roll On, Best Love Song and All I Do Is Win.

In addition to the Miss North Carolina, Miss New Mexico and Miss Oklahoma, Miss Florida Nicolette Jennings, Miss Arkansas Savannah Skidmore, Miss Iowa Baylee Drezek, Miss Ohio Alice Magoto, Miss Minnesota Cat Stanley, Miss Louisiana Victoria Paul, Miss District of Columbia Cordelia Cranshaw, Miss Pennsylvania Kailyn Marie Perez, Miss Kansas Alyssa Klinzing, Miss Maryland Mariela Pepin, Miss Nevada Tianna Tuamoheloa and Miss Hawaii Lacie Choy became the top 15 before the swimsuit competition.

Miss Iowa, Miss Louisiana, Miss Minnesota, Miss Hawaii and Miss Pennsylvania were first eliminated by the judges to whittle the pack down to 10.
