Heartfelt Condolence! A Canadian stand-up comedian, Mike MacDonald, has died at the age of 63 on Saturday in Ottawa, multiple sources have confirmed.
His brother J. P. MacDonald confirmed to media that Mike, who had been suffering from various health problems, died of “heart complications ” at the Ottawa Heart Institute.

Revealing that his brother turned for the worse Saturday morning after his heart started racing and passed away that afternoon, J.P. said,
It was really sudden. We just never saw this coming.
Comedy organizations and local talent expressed their sadness via social media on Saturday night, explaining that Canada lost a legend.
Howard Wagman, the owner of Yuk Yuks Ottawa, where Mike used to perform, said that the renowned comedian touched many lives.
With a heavy voice full of emotions, Howard said,
Mike MacDonald was pretty much the first Canadian superstar in our business.
We're talking about 40 years and countless comedians that emulated and learned from him. He was a ground breaker. He was an original. He was truly Canadian.
Born on 21 June 1954 in France, Mike was raised on military bases around the world. After his father's retirement, the family moved to Ottawa where he attended Brookfield High School.
