Carrie Underwood has nothing to hide! Mike Fisher's pregnant wife has revealed that she suffered three miscarriages in two years.
In her interview with CBS Sunday Morning, the American Idol 2005 winner said,
I’d kind of planned that 2017 was, you know, going to be the year that I work on new music, and I have a baby. We got pregnant early 2017, and didn’t work out.
The 35-year-old singer says she and her husband remained optimistic following her first miscarriage, but they lost another baby in the following year.
In the beginning it was like, ‘OK, God, we know this is, just wasn’t your timing. And that is all right. We will bounce back and figure our way through it.’ And got pregnant again in the spring, and it didn’t work out,
The Grammy Award-winning singer then revealed she suffered a third miscarriage later that year, saying, "Got pregnant again, early 2018. Didn’t work out. So, at that point, it was just kind of like, ‘OK, like, what’s the deal? What is all of this?’"
The pop star further admitted that following the losses, she struggled with her emotions.
I had always been afraid to be angry. Because we are so blessed … I’m like, ‘If we can never have any other kids, that’s OK, because [Isaiah] is amazing.’ And I have this amazing life. Like, really, what can I complain about? I can’t. I have an incredible husband, incredible friends, an incredible job, an incredible kid. Can I be mad? No.
Additionally, Carrie says she got angry after she thought she would have another miscarriage in her current pregnancy.
I got mad … I was like, ‘Why on Earth do I keep getting pregnant if I can’t have a kid? Like, what is this? Shut the door. Like, do something. Either shut the door or let me have a kid. ‘And for the first time, I feel like I actually I told God how I felt.
Carrie says she visited a doctor several days later and she found her current pregnancy was healthy. "I went to the doctor to, like, confirm, another miscarriage. And they told me everything was great!"
As previously reported, on August 8, Carrie, who already has son Isaiah Michael Fisher, 2, with Mike, announced that she is expecting her second child, with sharing a short video clip on Instagram.
In the Instagram video, she said,
Mike, Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another fish to our pond. We’re just so excited and glad you guys can share this with us and be a part of it. Love you guys! We will see you on
Take a look.
The couple, who first met at one of Carrie's concerts in late 2008, announced their engagement in December 2009.
They eventually got married on July 10, 2010. The lavish wedding ceremony, which was attended by more than 250 guests, was conducted at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia.
