Michael Madsen has been facing charges after he drove his car into a pole in drunken condition last month.
Prosecutors have charged him with two misdemeanor counts of drunken driving after hitting the pole with his Land Rover.
According to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office, the actor, 61, had been charged with DUI (Driving Under the Influence) of alcohol within 10 years of another DUI offense.
He was driving with a .08% blood alcohol level within 10 years of another DUI.
The Vengeance Unlimited star has not entered a plea but is set to appear in court May 20. The Los Angeles Times emailed to his publicist for comments but it was not immediately replied.
Authorities say the actor, who is best known for his appearance in the Quentin Tarantino movies Kill Bill and Reservoir Dogs, was driving SUV that ran into the pole in Malibu on March 24.
No one reportedly was injured.
