The MGM Films is nearing a deal with the 42 years' old actress Reese Witherspoon to re-perform her role as the idealistic Elle Woods in Legally Blonde 3.
Reese has been in talks for returning to the role of Woods since March, but until now, the deal hasn't still closed yet.
If Witherspoon is taken in as the actress, she will also be one of the producers for the movie alongside, Marc Platt and Platt Productions through her own production company, Hello Sunshine.
For the movie, Kristen Smith and Karen McCullah are also in final talks to write the script. They were the ones who adopted Amanda Brown's novel for the first film in 2001.
It has already been 17 years since the first part came to life. The first part earned around $141 million at the box office with around $18 million budget. Similarly, the sequel bagged $124 million on a $45 million budget.
MGM Films is keeping the plot at bay but, it has been revealed that this movie will have the same charisma as its parents'.
