Matthew Labyorteaux was born as Matthew Charles Labyorteaux on 8th December 1966 in Los Angeles, California. He was adopted by an interior designer as well as an actress Frances Marshall (1927-2012) and Ronald Labyorteaux (1930-1992). He has two siblings, Patrick, who was also adopted, and Jane.

As for his educational background, Matthews has not disclosed any details regarding his academic qualifications.

Labyorteaux started his career from a young age of seven by working in commercials alongside his older brother, Patrick. Shortly after that, he did his first dramatic role in A Woman Under the Influence, starring Gena Rowlands. Then, he started performing in television series like Whiz Kids (1983-1984) and The Red Hand Gang (1977), starring late James Hampton.

One of his prominent roles was in the film Wes Craven’s Deadly Friend (1986) as a young genius who brings a dead girl back to life using an artificial intelligence microchip from a robot made by him. Matthew Labyorteaux has made guest appearances in several TV shows like Silk Stalkings, Paradise, Night Court, Highway to Heaven, The Love Boat, Simon & Simon, Here’s Doomer, Lou Grant, Mulligan’s Stew, and The Rookies, which also features Season Hubley and Kate Jackson.

In 1992, Matthew along with his brother Patrick founded the Youth Rescue Fund, a charity organization that helps young people in crisis. Just like his personal life, Matthew Labyorteaux keeps his professional progress also private. With his acting career as well as voice lending career, he must have earned a handsome amount.
