An 11-year-old girl from Maryland was arrested and charged in the death of a one-year-old baby, namely Paxton Davis, who died as a result of "severe injuries" he got while in her care, authorities have confirmed.
An unidentified 11-year-old was charged on Friday, March 1, with first-degree child abuse resulting in the death of the child.
The little suspect, whose identification isn't revealed, has admitted to assaulting the baby and injuring his upper body.

Prince George’s County Police Department got a 911 call on Sunday, February 24, at approx. 3:30 p.m. and were informed that there was an "unresponsive" child in a home on Pearl Drive in Suitland.
The baby was rushed to the Children's Hospital in Washington, where staffers immediately alerted the police to suspected child abuse.
As per the report, Paxton suffered "severe injuries to his upper body" and passed away on Thursday afternoon due to those injuries.
Officials said the suspect, who is "being charged as a juvenile in this offense", is being held at a juvenile detention center.
