It's officially all over for Mia Bally and Tristan Thompson! The Married at First Sight alum has filed for divorce from her husband, multiple sources have confirmed.
The duo's relationship began with a rough patch in July as Mia, 30, was arrested at the airport while she and Tristan, 29, were on the way to their honeymoon.
Mia, who is an airline recruiter, says that her arrest was a misunderstanding while Tristan, who is a former basketball player, expressed his concerns.
On the July 24 episode, he said, "I’m sitting here not knowing who I just married. This is a serious test of my faith."
Tristan also noted that he’s “overwhelmed with emotion” that his now-estranged wife returned home safely after the charges made against her were dropped.
However, during the July 31 episode, the sportsperson seemed to be backtracked.
He said at the time, "To me, marriage should be built on trust and honesty. If you have that, I believe there’s no problem you can’t handle."
The couple faced more obstacles during their marriage; Tristan caught Mia on a dating app during the August 21 episode.
After a friend informed Tristan about her profile, he told Mia, "I don’t know you. I don’t trust you. There’s a cloud that’s hovering around that’s stopping me from falling in love with you."
However, Mia says she had deleted the app long ago. "I didn’t get Married at First Sight to be with someone who doesn’t trust me".
Married at First Sight airs on Lifetime every Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
