Man Pleads Guilty to Killing 5 Family Members in Australia

A man, namely Anthony Robert Harvey, pleaded guilty in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court in Australia on Wednesday, April 24, to killing his wife, three children, and mother-in-law in Perth in 2018.

The suspect made the plea in an appearance in the Australian via video link from prison.

He is scheduled to appear at a sentencing hearing in the Supreme Court of Western Australia state on June 21. He will possibly face a life sentence for each conviction.

Anthony, who is a professional gardener, killed his wife, Mara Lee Harvey, 41, daughter Charlotte, 3, and twin daughters Beatrix and Alice in their suburban home on September 3.

He then killed his mother-in-law, Beverley Ann Quinn, 73, when she came to visit the family the next morning.

Anthony stayed in the house for days after the murdering them and then drove 1,400 kilometers north to the mining town of Pannawonica. He admitted to police on September 9 about his crime.

Police found the bodies of his wife and mother-in-law in the kitchen while the children were discovered in other rooms.

According to authorities, Anthony used a blunt instrument and knives to slay the family.
