Former NBA star and legend Magic Johnson just informed his fans and followers that he's stepping down as the Lakers' President of basketball operations.
The announcement was made just before the Lakers played their final game of the season.

Magic Johnson held an interview with reporters before the Lakers took on the Portland Trailblazers, where the former NBA superstar revealed that he's walking away from the role which he held for almost 2 years.
The decision caught everyone by surprise.
Magic further mentioned that he hasn't even informed Lakers owner Jeanie Buss that he's stepping away from the Presidency.
As for why he's stepping down from this Presidentship, Magic informed that he wasn't having fun running the Lakers, and was happier before he was appointed for the job.
Magic Johnson's departure adds another major void to fill for the Lakers, who enter a super important offseason after missing the playoffs in LeBron James' first year in purple and gold.
