Lynda Carter stepped into the field of acting when she was five years old; she made her public television debut on Lew King’s Talent Show. Later when she was 16, she joined a band named The Relatives along with her cousins.
The group first performed at the Sahara Hotel and casino lounge in Las Vegas for three months. Later, she sang with the band The Garfin Gathering and performed at a San Francisco hotel.
In 1972, Carter won a local Arizona Beauty contest and also achieved substantial national attention in the United States by winning Miss World USA, representing Arizona.
Later 1974, she worked in an episode of the Police drams Nakia entitled Roots of Anger.
