Lucy was homeschooled and during her childhood, she took both singing and acting lessons. Lucy Hale started her career as a singer on the reality show "American Juniors" that she won in 2003. After that, Lucy moved to Los Angeles at the age of 15 pursuing her dream to be an actress.

Lucy started auditioning and received a minor role on "Drake & Josh" and other guest roles on shows such as "Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide", "The O.C.", and "How I Met Your Mother".
