She appeared in school stages and other theaters during her school years and adolescence, and initiated her career as a professional actress in 2003 through an episode of famous TV shows One Tree Hill. In her debut role, she portrayed a minor character Peyton Actress 1.

In 2011, she appeared as Dani in four episodes of Sleepy Hollow

She continued to appear as a minor character in TV shows until 2014 and finally, in 2015, she made her debut on the big screen as Elise. She portrayed the role in 2015 film Some Kind of Beautiful alongside Salma HayekJessica AlbaPierce Brosnan, and others.

With just 7% rating on rotten tomatoes and the box office collection limiting to a few thousand dollars, the movie did not do well. This undoubtedly affected Alex's spirit as she appeared in her other role only a year later in 2017. 

In 2017, she appeared as Kayla in Love at the Shore, which unlike her first film did pretty good. Moreover, since 2018, she is shooting as Claire in the upcoming movie Love, Simon.
