Born in Torquay, Devon
Lily was from a humble family. She was born in Torquay, Devon to Patience Owen, an artist and writer and Chris Cole, he was a boat builder and fisherman. She grew up in London, along with one of her two sisters.
Began studying History of Art
She got a chance to read Social and Political Sciences at King's College, Cambridge but she postponed it twice and at the end she changed her major to study History of Art. She began her study in 2008 and she was First in her examinations at the end of her first year and again the same in her second year examinations.
Began her Modeling career
She was just fourteen years old, when she began her modeling career. Her modeling career was a bit of luck, while she was walking in Soho she was approached by Benjamin Hart and he offered her the modeling chance. First she declined this offer and later changed her mind and signed with Storm Models.
First acting role
In 2007, she played her first acting role. She made her acting debut as Polly the geek in the 2007 comedy St. Trinian's. It was the remake of the black and white films of the 1950s and '60s.

Diagnosed with prostate cancer
December of 2012 was really a sad day for all his fan followers. Someday in December, he reveled that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. And he stated on his blog that "There is no cause for alarm. I am examined regularly and the cancer is contained. I've not needed any treatment."
Honored by British Empire
Throughout his life, he is actively involved in acting in movies and also in dramas. In 1990, he was honored by the British Empire. They awarded him the Knight Bachelor of the Order of the British Empire in 1990 for his services to drama.
