A native of Aix-les-Bains, Savoie, Laurance Ferrari was born on 5th of July 1966. Her birth sign is Cancer. Talking about her nationality, she is French and is of white ethnicity. Ferrari’s father Gratien Ferrari belongs to Italian ancestry from Emilia-Romagna and by profession, he is the former mayor of the city as well as the member of the French National Assembly. In 1986, Laurence Ferrari began her career as a journalist at the French Le Figaro Magazine, news agency, and AFP. She also served at the French language radio station, as a researcher at Europe 1, with special responsibility for health policy.

Later in 1994, Ferrari began her TV career with Michel Drucker in Studio Gabriel on France 2 and thereafter with Jean-Pierre Pernaut in "Combien ça coûte ?" on TF1. She also worked as a co-host for the TF1 Sunday evening magazine Sept à Huit with her Thomas Hugues.

Then she joined the Canal + to present the channel's weekly political magazine "Dimanche +" where she covered the French Presidential election of 2007. The following year, she became the new anchor of "Le 20 Heures de TF1", replacing Patrick Poivre d’Arvor.

Apart from her professional career, Ferrari also involved in humanitarian work. Since November of 2003, she has been an ambassador for SOS Children’s Villages. In March 2007, she sponsored the La Rose Marie Claire project with UNICEF to help educated young girl along with other renowned journalists’ including Melissa Theuriau, Beatrice Schonberg, Tina Keiffer, Marie Drucker, and Claire Chazal.
