A big loss for Lauren Swanson and Josiah Duggar! The Counting On star suffered a miscarriage in October 2018, four month after getting married to her now husband.

The couple opened up about the tragedy to TLC on Monday, February 11. Lauren, 19, told the outlet, "A couple months ago, we found out that we were expecting, but suddenly thereafter, we lost our baby".

Josiah, 22, continued,

It really was a hard time for our family going through this right after we got married. And all the dreams of getting to see our little one and hold it in our hands dashed before our eyes.

The television personality said that the couple decided to open up about their miscarriage because "nobody really talks about it". She added, "We just wanted to let y’all know that you’re not alone".

We will be watching their loss on the upcoming season of Counting On. In a video clip with a tear running down the actress' cheek, she said, "I couldn’t believe it, and I was hoping it wasn’t true. It was the worst day of my life, really".

As we previously reported, the 19 Kids and Counting star and her longtime boyfriend tied the knot in July 2018, two months after they announced their engagement.

Counting On season 4 will be premiered on TLC Monday, February 11, at 9 p.m. ET.
