At a recording of VH1 Dear Mama: A Love Letter to Mom at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles on Thursday, May 2, the actress told Us Weekly, "You know, marriage is hard."
I tell everybody that, and it’s one day at a time, and that’s what we’re doing. Just trying to take it one day at a time.
The couple married in a lavish wedding ceremony at Cipriani's in New York City in July 2010 and more than 320 guests attended the nuptials. They called it quits in April 2017.
Reunion rumor of the pair surfaced in September 2018 after being spotted together at Swizz Beatz's 40th birthday party.
Sources confirmed in December that they had reunited, citing that their son, Kiyan Carmelo Anthony, 11, was the main reason for the reconciliation.
An insider told Us Weekly at the time, "La La and Carmelo have recently reconciled and they truly still love one another. It’s so obvious when they’re together."
In the same month, the proud mom sparked pregnancy rumors, however, a source told the publication at the time that the pair were not expecting a second child.
