Kyla Pratt was born in Los Angeles, California, United States to schoolteacher Kecia Pratt-Mccullar and a professional basketball player Johnny Mcccullar. She is the oldest among her five siblings. 

She is well known for her role Maya Dolittle, Eddie Murphy's daughter on the film Dr. Dolittle and its sequel Dr Dolittle 2.



Starred in Riot

She appeared as Jenny Baker in television movie The Riot in 1997. The movie is based on Los Angeles Riot of 1992 and beating of Rodney King that led to the arrest of four officers.

The movie stars Lucy Liu, Mario Van Peebles and Luke Perry.

Kyla's cover of Circle was featured on the DisneyMania 2 album. She also sang A Drem Is a Wish Your Heart Makes with the Disney Channel Stars, and It's All About Me for the series soundtrack of the American sitcom The Proud Family.

Kyla was voted N0. 97 on VH1's 100 Greatest Child Stars in February 2014. On the top were two male leads, Macaulay Culkin and Justin Bieber.
