After months of dating and romantic love affair, on 30th of June 1996, Kurt Browning finally got married to his long-time girlfriend Sonia Rodriguez. Sonia Rodriguez is a ballerina, and she is also known for being a principal dancer of National Ballet of Canada.

As a husband and wife, they have already welcomed two children together and both are sons, and their names are Dillon and Gabriel. He is not involved in any kind of extra affairs and there is no information about his relationship with any girlfriend except his loving spouse.

In the 1988 Winter Olympics, Kurt made his first appearance in the Olympics representing Canada. That year, he also took part in World Championships and on 25th of March earned his name in the Guinness Book of Records by landing the first ratified quadruple jump in the history.

In 1990, he won a Lou Marsh Trophy. He is also the winner of Lionel Conacher Award, and he won this award twice. Kurt was inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame in 1994 and into Skate Canada Hall of Fame in 2000. In 2001, he was honored with a star on Canada's Hall of Fame.  

Kurt is also a choreographer and as a choreographer, he has choreographed programs for several skating figures including Jeremy Abbott, Patrick Chan, Alissa Czisny, Lucinda Ruh. He has also choreographed and co-directed the 2011-12 Stars on Ice tour. He was also aided by 2006 Olympic bronze medalist and 2008 World Champion Jeffrey Buttle.

His net worth is said to be around $5 million. Besides, he is also paid a handsome amount of salary for his work.

On August 19, 2010, Kurt's North Toronto, Forest Hill's multi-million-dollar home was destroyed by a fire.
