Staying in a happy married life is not always easy! It's been nearly six years since Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler tied the knot and the pair has now been facing marriage problems.

During an episode of Very Cavallari on Sunday, April 7, the television personality, 32, opened up about the problems she has been facing in her marriage to the former football quarterback.

She told her friends on the show, "Jay has been great, yes. From the outside, like, things are so perfect and things are so great."

She added,

But actually, like, they’re not. And that sucks. It sucks. That’s the thing, though, with marriage — it’s ups and downs.

The former Laguna Beach star continued,

Right now we’re in a low, but in two months we could be up here again. And that’s how we’ve always been, our whole relationship. It is what it is.

Kristin then spoke directly and opens up about the hardships between her and her husband, 35.

She explained,

There’s no such thing as a perfect relationship. Jay and I have problems — I’ve always been very vocal about that. We have to work at our relationship. … We definitely have issues.

Kristin and Jay became married in June 2013. The husband-wife duo shares three children; two sons Camden, 6, Jaxon, 4, and a daughter Saylor, 3.

The Hills alum exclusively told Us Weekly in March that she and Jay are not planning to have more children due to their busy household.

Jay has yet to comment on the difficulties between him and his wife over their marriage.
