Sungkyu made his first appearance in the South Korean boy band, Infinite, as the leader and main vocalist in the year 2010. In the same year, he played the guitar in Epik High’s video, together with numerous fellow members including Sungyeol L, Sungjong, and Woohyun.
Sungkyu made his first appearance in a television series, Welcome to Convenience Store, which was directed by Ji Kang-min. After a couple of years, he appeared in another Korean television series, The Genius: Rules of the Game.
