Khashoggi's Children to Receive as Much as $70 Million in Compensation

The murder of Jamal Khashoggi left everyone baffled and now with the unexpected death, his children have been going through a lot of official procedures for the division of the properties. 

As per the reports by CNN on Tuesday, Khashoggi's children are expected to receive properties worth over $70 million. The sum assets worth in million, one-off payments, and huge sum as monthly allowances.

With all these compensations to atone for the wrongdoing, the Saudi government intends to not hear any criticism regarding the royal family over Khashoggi's death.

If reports are to be believed, all four of the journalist's children is provided with homes that are worth around 15 million Saudi riyals (around $4 million). The eldest of Jamal's son, who works as a banker in Jeddah, handles all the matters with the government and is given a big home in Jeddah.

Further, all of Khashoggi's children are provided a one-time payment of 1 million and a monthly allowance of around $10,000 to $15,000.

All the payments were approved by the king of Saudi, Salman, the source reported.

Moreover, when it comes to the guilty, prosecutors are demanding the death penalty, however, upon the blood money arrangement, the Saudi legal system will allow Khashoggi's children to let go their father's killers.

Upon doing so, the family might as well be paid as much as 100 to 200 million riyals ($26.7- $53.3 million) according to the negotiation made under blood money payments. Well, the decision will only be taken after the trial ends, as per the reports of CNN.
