Khabib Nurmagomedov is the undisputed champion in the UFC Lightweight division. He is well known for winning the match against the notorious Conor McGregor in UFC 229 on October 6th, 2018.

Khabib Nurmagomedov was born in Dagestan, Russia on the 20th of September in 1998. He is the son of athlete and former army-man Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. Abdulmanap currently serves as the senior coach for the Republic of Dagestan. His mother's name is still unknown, and talking about his family, he has an older brother whose name is Magomed and a smaller sister named Amina

The undisputed champion gained inspiration in fighting when he used to watch his father train other students at the gym that they owned in Kirovaul. He started training under the guidance of his father at an early age of 8, and by the time he was nine, he had already wrestled a bear.

His family later moved to Makhachkala, where he started training in wrestling at 12, and three years later, he was into judo. Khabib was 17 when he commenced his training in combat sambo, under his father.
