But, while James had played with one of the worst rosters in this season, Durant played with one of the best ones. And, so, the MVP title was no doubt Durant's.

After the end of the NBA Finals and the MVP title, Durant talked to the Yahoo! Sports stating that it was rather hard to be seen as the best player on the planet.

Durant stated in his interview,

I feel like it's easy to be the best player when you don't have good players around you. I feel like it's harder to stand out when you have great players around you.

The State Warriors star also said that he was proud of himself for standing out wherever he was. He also prides himself on working hard wherever he went.

He further added,

And, I feel like these guys embraced me and I feel like I'm a Warrior.

The Golden State Warriors had two high-profile players who in no doubt could have made a difference, Stephen Curry, and Durant. The team won the NBA Finals winning the first four of the seven matches the finalists were set to play.

The warriors booked their NBA title on Saturday, June 9 scoring 108 against a score of 85
