NBC’s news correspondent Katy Tur is not mincing words when it comes to the US President Donald Trump’s defense of Roy Moore, the former chief justice, on Tuesday despite his alleged sexual misconduct.
Katy said on Meet the Press Daily on Tuesday;
It is a brutal question, but one that requires asking in this political environment under this president. Which does this White House view as worse, an accused pedophile or a Democrat?
Katy said that they “seemingly” got an answer from the president after he suggested that he was standing behind Roy despite all those accusations that Roy had dated or attempted to date minors at his thirties and, in some cases, had also sexually assaulted them.

Roy denies the allegations and has reportedly attempted to discredit his accusers, but several Republicans have urged Roy to quit the race.
Trump explained on Tuesday;
Well, he denies it, look, he denies it. He totally denies it, he says it didn’t happen, and you have to listen to him also.
He further added;
I can tell you one thing for sure; we don’t need a liberal person in there, a Democrat, Jones. I can tell you for a fact we do not need somebody that’s going to be bad on crime, bad on borders, bad with the military, bad for the Second Amendment.
